Responsible business
Conducting our business with integrity is one of our FIERCE values. Integrity means that we do what’s right, using good judgement to ensure we always do things we can be proud of. The following policies and processes underpin our sustainability pillars and ensure strong governance across all areas.
Code of Conduct
Our Code of Conduct outlines the key principles and behaviours expected from anyone acting on behalf of Avon. To reinforce these standards, we provide annual training to raise awareness and cover critical topics such as safeguarding company assets, managing conflicts of interest, preventing bribery, promoting a respectful workplace, and reporting potential concerns. This training ensures employees understand their responsibilities and know how to address issues appropriately.
Supplier Code of Conduct
We have in place a Supplier Code of Conduct which sets expectations on responsible, ethical and sustainable behaviour. It defines a minimum set of requirements for our suppliers to adhere to.
Speak Up
Ensuring our employees can speak up without fear of retaliation is vital. We encourage employees to voice concerns when they arise. We have in place a ‘Speak Up’ platform which is designed for all employees to report any behaviour which may be a breach of the Code or our supporting policies anonymously.
The Board oversees all matters raised, with regular updates provided to the Audit Committee. Investigations are conducted with support from site management, HR and legal as needed.
Anti-bribery and corruption
It is Avon’s policy to conduct all of our business in an honest and ethical manner and comply with all anti-bribery and corruption laws. To ensure we only work with third parties whose standards are consistent with our own, all agents and distributors are obliged by written agreement to comply with the standards set out in the Code of Conduct.
Anti-bribery and corruption policy
Modern slavery
Avon has a zero-tolerance approach to slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour and human trafficking (‘modern slavery’) within our operations and those of our supply chains. We ensure there is no modern slavery in our operations or supply chain, and comply with laws and standards like the UN Declaration on Human Rights and the UK Modern Slavery Act.
In accordance the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015, each year we are required to publish a statement on Modern Slavery. This statement reinforces our dedication to combating modern slavery and human trafficking across our operations.
Human Rights
We are fully committed to respecting the human rights of all those working with or for us. We will never allow forced labour, child labour, or human trafficking in any part of operations or our supply chain.
Data privacy and cyber security
Avon takes security awareness seriously, reinforcing it through ongoing campaigns and mandatory annual training. Led by our CISO, the information security program aligns with NIST CSF 2.0, prioritising emerging risks and sustainable processes. Throughout the year we undertake quarterly cyber risk assessments, annual policy reviews, and test our incident response plans to ensure compliance. We meet evolving standards such as Cyber Essentials Plus and CMMC 2.0, validated through internal and external audits.
Diversity, equity and inclusion
We value diversity and are committed to ensuring equal opportunities for all. As outlined in our Code of Conduct, we do not tolerate violence, harassment, bullying, or discrimination, these have no place in our workplace or in any interactions with those we work alongside
As required by the Equality Act 2010 (Gender Pay Gap Information) Regulations 2017, we are committed to transparency and accountability by publishing our Gender Pay Report.
