European NATO Respiratory System Upgrade Order
Avon Technologies plc is pleased to announce that Avon Protection, its respiratory and integrated CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear) protection business unit, has received a new order for its CBRN respiratory protective equipment system from an existing European customer. The order is worth approximately $12 million.
The new system includes Avon’s FM53 Air Purifying Respirator (FM53), Combination System Powered Air Purifying Respirator (CS-PAPR), and ST53 Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA).
The FM53 is a full-face respirator designed to give operators the ability to quickly switch between protection modes in the field, combined with the CS-PAPR and ST53, it allows the user to respond immediately to evolving threat conditions while maintaining continuous respiratory protection during longer or more demanding operations.
This order further underpins expectations for FY2027.
Jos Sclater, Chief Executive Officer, commented:
“This order highlights the significant enhanced respiratory protection upgrade opportunity as customers transition from legacy respirators to our next-generation platforms, delivering lower burden, improved combat effectiveness and enhanced integration across CBRN systems.
Demand across our European NATO customer base remains strong, underpinned by a continued increased CBRN threat environment, ongoing mask fleet modernisation and a growing focus on fully integrated CBRN capability.”
