PDP launches: Investing in the next generation of leaders
Sixteen colleagues from across the business have officially begun their Professional Development Programme (PDP) journey, coming together in the UK earlier this month for the launch of their year on the programme.
Now in its sixth cohort, the Professional Development Programme is designed for individuals who want to build strong foundations for future leadership. Throughout the next 12 months, participants will focus on developing greater self-awareness, personal resilience, career clarity and a deeper understanding of how they can maximise their impact within the organisation.
The launch event provided an opportunity for the cohort to connect, build relationships and begin creating their individual development plans. Each participant has also been paired with a mentor who will provide guidance and support throughout the year.
Since its creation in 2013, PDP has helped colleagues across the business broaden their capabilities, strengthen their strategic business understanding and develop the confidence to lead effectively.
As PDP(6) gets underway, we look forward to following the cohort’s progress and seeing how they continue to grow, challenge themselves and make their mark over the coming year.
Some thoughts from participants as they reflect on the launch week:
“What surprised me most was the resilience and determination of the other participants. Regardless of the challenge we faced, everyone found a way to overcome it and push through. It was impressive to see individuals continually rise to the occasion, support one another, and embrace opportunities for growth throughout the week.”
“I am most looking forward to the challenge of continued growth and development. Having a structured, supported, and targeted development plan gives me a fantastic opportunity to build on what I learned during the programme.”
